    Sarracenia ‘Night Sky’

S. ‘Night Sky’

Although I am currently quite smitten by the Nepenthes in my greenhouse, I am also quite enamored of the Sarracenia species and hybrids I have. Pictured here is Sarracenia ‘Night Sky’, a cross of S. rubra gulfensis and S. leucophylla. This is a very small division and will be a couple of seasons before it gets really impressive. However, you can certainly see the potential. The contrast between the pitcher base color and the white fenestrations is striking, to say the least.
